The
Piano is the most versatile instrument
of all but is not actually a permanent member of the
orchestra. It is used mainly in special works and concertos.
Range:
It has a range of over 7 octaves with 'Middle 'C' in the
middle of the keyboard. Tuning:
Tuned by specialist tuner. Has 2 or 3 strings for each 'key'
(in treble register) Lower strings are much thicker.
